Dowells OPD is a long-established business which first started in 1952 by Durham Dowell (also a previous Mayor of Timaru). Current owners Martin and Fay Ryan have been running the business for 30 years alongside a helpful, friendly, and dedicated staff of 7.

Located at 9 Church Street, Timaru Central, situated in the heart of the CBD in Timaru we offer a wide range of general stationery, café supplies, office furniture and hygiene products to name a few, if we don’t have an item in stock we’ll get it for you. Dowells is also a specialist supplier of Eftpos machines as well as POS and cash registers with customers ranging from Dunedin to Nelson.
Dowells OPD services a wide area of the Aoraki region ranging from Geraldine in the north to Waimate in the south and inland to the Twizel and Tekapo areas, as well as the West Coast.

Our point of difference is that we are local and can make decisions immediately avoiding the typical “corporate structure” system enabling us to provide a quicker and more efficient service to our customers. We also pride ourselves on a speedy accurate delivery service, whatever your needs whatever your deadlines, we will get your order out to you.
